The second edition of the UK Figaro National Championships will be held from 23rd – 26th May, starting from Cherbourg and finishing with two days of inshore and coastal racing in Weymouth, at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
The racing schedule is as follow:
Race 1 – Offshore Race from Cherbourg to Weymouth
Race 2, 3, 4 & 5 – Inshore races from Weymouth
Race 6 – Coastal Race from Weymouth
Race1, The double-handed offshore race from Cherbourg to Weymouth will start today at 1725hrs local time (1625hrs BST). The racing fleet are expected to finish in Weymouth approximately 24hrs later, for a short rest ahead of start of the first inshore race at 1025hrs BST on Wednesday 25th May.
There are seven Class Figaro Beneteau boats entered into the the UK Figaro National Championships including 2 French boats. Fellow Artemis Offshore Academy member, Olly Young will be crewing for Conrad onboard DMS during this series of racing.
